Though my Saturdays differ from weekend to weekend, Sunday is often a day of productivity and routine. It sounds boring when I say it that way, but I like it and it makes me feel ready for the upcoming week.
Our routine, lately, has been to watch a Netflix DVD in the morning. We’ve been members of Netflix forever and our queue is really long so sometimes movies will show up in our mailbox that we added years ago.

This was pretty good, though a little hard to follow at times. And I couldn’t get over the fact that the anchors and hosts all smoked on tv! Crazy.
We also had pancakes. I always use the same recipe except that I use applesauce instead of yogurt and yesterday I added chocolate chips. I bought dark chocolate chips instead of milk and they sort of taste like wax to me until they’re melted. This is actually a blessing in disguise because I won’t eat them by the handful.
After the movie, we just hung out for a while and then I got ready to go to the gym. I did Workout C from Boot camp, although I realized when I got there, that I hadn’t looked up what the exercises were ahead of time. I had the sheet saying what to do, but I had to guess when I didn’t know what a couple of the moves were. (I got most of them right, save for one, which I did totally wrong.)
The gym happens to be next door to Target, so that happened. Then I went home, walked the dog, did some laundry and went to the grocery store. I try to plan at least a few meals for the week beforehand, otherwise I’ll end up spending a bunch of money and not having anything to eat somehow.
I’m able to start dinner on Sunday earlier which eliminates that “I’m ravenous and need to eat immediately” feeling. Jason had requested something with potatoes, so I made Nacho Fries.

Though these took a while to cook, but they weren’t particularly difficult to make. Definitely not an after-work meal because of the 40-minute baking time, but fine for Sunday. Plus, they were really good. I used red potatoes because we had a bag of them and also added olives and salsa.
The best part of Sunday, though, is obviously Breaking Bad. And there is only one more episode until next summer. I am not pleased. And also Walter White is such an ass.
So that was my Sunday. What was yours like?

That sounds like an awesome mix of lazy Sunday and productive get-ready-for-the-week Sunday! Mine was blissful, beach, hang out, and dinner with M’s parents. With wine. A bevy of wine
My Sundays look quite the same, and I’m the same way with my Netflix queue. I do have a somewhat recent one – The Iron Lady that I need to watch ASAP. I hate when I leave them lying around, such a waste of money.
Also, Walt is killing me this season. So over him.
That’s somewhere in my queue too.
My Sunday is always grocery store day… and then work so that I’m not totally overwhelmed on Monday morning. Boring, right?
Ha! We’re in the middle of finishing up Breaking Bad too. I seriously don’t know what we’ll watch when that’s done.
We are planning on catching up on Dexter after it’s done. We are 1 season behind.
Tony went for a hike with friends, while I stayed behind with the boys. They can’t really do a 9 mile hike. I was lazy with them in the morning and then hit the road for a couple of running miles. I realized that my neighborhood is major hill central at that point! Sounds like you had a great Sunday! Perfect mix of lazy and productive!!!
Yum- nacho fries!! That just sounds damn amazing.
My Sunday always starts with teaching 8 am Spinning class (which I love), and is almost always followed by at least 2 hours of sitting around.
We went to Dogfish this past Sunday and got stuck there for a while because of the rain- but that’s okay. There was plenty of food and beer to keep up happy.
Nacho fries sound amazing!!!
Sundays are always my lay around and watch movies/nap day.
