How is it Sunday night already? The weekend went by way too quickly. I guess that’s what happens when you go to bed at 9:30 on a Friday night. Saturday morning started off with the best text ever…

Getting my car washed is one of those things that I just don’t really seem to ever remember to do. It’s not really the best thing to forget because somehow, my car always seems to be filled with trash. I don’t know how it happens. I don’t consciously throw empty water bottles under the seat, but there they are. It’s a mystery really. One of the great mysteries of the world.
After some errands (errands that Jason did. I did the errand of being lazy.), we went to LA Fitness to get a workout in. I ran for 30 minutes and it was one of those really good runs where I felt like I could keep running. Sometimes I wonder if the treadmills are calibrated differently. I ran for 20 minutes at 6.0 mph and 10 minutes at 6.5 mph and felt fine. Other days, I have a hard time running 5 minutes at 6.0 mph and have to run at 5.8 mph. Is it me or is it the treadmill? I also did some fiddle-faddling around on the elliptical.
Murphy got groomed and was highly annoyed about the whole thing.

He perked up, however, when his Grandparents – Jason’s parents – came to visit.

They came to celebrate Jason’s father’s 60th birthday. They dressed up for the occasion…

Jason’s parents had been wanting to try Ruth’s Chris Steak House, since there isn’t one by them. We went to the one in Sandy Springs. Neither Jason nor I had been either. Jason and his mom both got a filet, his dad got a steak and lobster combination and I got the salmon. It was really dark, so I didn’t take any pictures. I thought my salmon was pretty good, but Jason was not impressed.

And he might kill me for posting that.
After dinner, we came home and I realized that I do not make good decisions after drinking wine. I mean, really, I realized that like 10 years ago. Not making good decisions means eating a lot of cupcakes that we’d purchased for the birthday boy. At least I shared. We played some Trivial Pursuit, and per the norm, I got tired like hours before everyone else and went to bed.

I agree with Jason – never been impressed with Ruth’s steaks. Oh well.
And the wine thing… I think we all do that. Wine munchies are powerful.
Obviously, my sober January isn’t going very well.
My name is Laura and it’s been 2 weeks since my last drink.
Wine does that to me too and I am always the first to bed. I just can’t hang like I used to and I like sleep too much.
I’ve never been to Ruth’s Chris either. And yes, this weekend went by way too fast.
Haha love the scarves on Jason and his dad!
I’m bad at washing my car too, but unfortunately so is Chris. We both always have dirty cars!
Just call it your cheat day and forget about it.
Tony gets one every week and I swear, since he allows for it, it keeps the rest of the week cleaner and there is (a little) less guilt. My car is always dirty. I feel like, even after we clean it, it’s dirty again…
I like Ruth’s Chris but also have found other steak places I like better! Glad you liked the salmon! And I LOLed at the part about getting tired before others. I get that way too! and PS I agree on the treadmill, I think they can be different and sometimes I run faster or slower depending on which one I am on!
Peter cleaned my car this weekend too! I’m so bad about it as well. And the kids sure don’t help. Glad you had such a great weekend!
