I thought I would be really tired after the race, but I actually had a lot of energy so Jason and I decided to go the East Atlanta Living Walls Art Stroll. It was a walking tour of several murals that were painted on walls in East Atlanta.

Can you spot Jason in that last one? In addition to the murals, there were also these knitted bikes all over the neighborhood…

and a small artist market.

After a while, we stopped to get a drink at The Flatiron.

I wanted to eat there but realized that they’d changed the menu since I’d last been (which was probably like two years ago) and didn’t have what I wanted anymore, so we decided to eat elsewhere and headed over to Soba. I proceeded to order something with a ridiculous amount of garnish.

We also ordered a couple of appetizers – salt and pepper fried tofu and vegetarian spring rolls. The tofu was pretty much the best thing I’ve ever eaten.

Our friend Maya met us there and we ended up going to Holy Taco to get more food. No pictures, but I had two tacos (vegan and shrimp) and some guac. And then somehow we found ourselves stopping at Menchies. Blame it on the alcohol (of which there might have been more of that is not pictured).

What a fun rest of the day! Nothing beats drinking and eating after a race.
Did you eat any of those jalapenos on the tofu?? Those things look really spicy.
Not really, but the tofu was so good! I mean, I guess fried tofu is always good, but I kind of wanted to order more after we finished it.
Sounds like a fun day to me! I really want to go back to Holy Taco.
hahah- happens
. Spring rolls are so good! The murals are incredible
That sounds like a really fun day! I haven’t been to East Atlanta in forever.
It was impossible not to drink too much Saturday
Those bikes are crazy! I agree with Kacy- Saturday was so beautiful it would have been hard to not drink a lot, especially sitting outside on a patio with good food and friends around!
What a cool artsy fartsy event!
I really love the name Holy Taco for a restaurant. I need to eat there WHEN I visit you in the ATL.
Looks like a cool event!
