Maybe it’s the lack of attention that I’ve been paying to health and fitness lately but I just haven’t really felt like blogging regularly. I miss my posts about running but not enough to actually take up running again, at least not until after the baby. But I thought I’d do a post about the random things that I’ve been up to lately. No running, but there is some food.
My friend Emily and I went to see Howie Day at Eddie’s Attic last week. I used to really, really like Howie Day probably a good 10 years ago and he still sounded the same, which was fun. Plus, Eddie’s Attic is an awesome place to hear live music. It’s this tiny little listening room, as they call it, and you’re not allowed to talk while the musician is performing.
I just bought this new kind of Kombucha. I actually haven’t tried it yet, but I’m excited about it nonetheless. I used to be a big GT’s Synergy fan but the bottle says to consult your doctor before drinking while pregnant and considering my doctor probably has no idea what kombucha even is, I figured I’d give it up until Feb. But this kind clearly said alcohol-free, so I thought I’d be okay to try. I’ll report back.
I have been craving this tofu curry soup from a local thai and sushi place, Harry and Sons. (Jason and I actually had our first date there!) I thought maybe I could make something similar at home and found this recipe for Red Thai Curry Soup with Tofu Croutons. While it was good, it was not Harry and Sons. I suspect we’ll be making a trip to Virginia-Highland soon.
And here’s what you (well, really only if you are my family) are waiting for – a baby bump shot. This was taken earlier this week at 21 weeks and as you can see, still not too much there.
However, if I kind of let it all hang out, there’s a definite bump, right?
I feel like I’m in that weird in-between phase where it’s really hard to tell if I’m pregnant or just eating too much curry soup. I’m still in all my regular clothes, though in the past couple of days, my jeans have started to become kind of uncomfortable.
And that’s what’s been going on in my life lately.
